Cape Town and the Western Cape Province is blessed with a multitude of mountains, making it the perfect holiday destination for hiking. Our Labotessa hosts will be happy to assist guests in providing directions:
# Silvermine Waterfall, half an hour from the eastern Silvermine entrance gate 2, and is particularly impressive after rain.
# Wolfberg Arch and Wolfberg Cracks hike is in the Cederberg Wilderness Area and is known for its impressive rock formations. The trail is well signposted but the climb is steep, taking 5 – 7 hours. The start and finish is on the Sanddrif Farm in the Cederberg.
# Die Hel hike is in the Karoo, reached by driving in the Swartberg Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with breathtaking views.
# Look-Out Cave hike, with exceptional views, is known to only a few, and starts below Chapman’s Peak.
