Two new restaurants are opening in Cape Town.

Chef Liam Tomlin has opened The Red Room, a Pan-Asian inspired restaurant, together with Chef David Schneider at the Mount Nelson Hotel. An A là Carte menu as well as four-course Tasting Menu are available for Dinner service. Tea-infused cocktails are offered, as is Sake.

Chef Luke Dale Roberts is opening Salon at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock this week. The restaurant has the feel of a traditional European salon. Its 9 course Journey Menu (R1100) will reflect the food of the countries Dale Roberts has worked in, while its 4 course Explorer Menu (R550) is a condensed menu.
