Cape Town Tourism and the Mayor of Cape Town Alderman Geordin Hill-Lewis are promoting Cape Town as an alternative departure destination in travelling to Antarctica.
A one-day return trip to Antarctica is now offered by White Desert, a five-hour flight to Wolf’s Fang Runway in Antarctica, travelers arriving to continuous sunshine. After three hours at Antarctica, with a hike and champagne picnic, the journey returns to Cape Town. Other Antarctica options include visiting the South Pole and Emperor Penguins.
