The Cape Town Comedy Festival has been running for more than twenty years, hosting a number of local and international comedians. This year the show runs from 5 June to 2 July, on Tuesday to Saturday evenings, at the Baxter Theatre.
Star comedian this year is Larry Soffer, a Capetonian working the international circuit in the main, and is a magician and mentalist, having been inspired by David Copperfield. Other comedians include Marc Lottering, Riaad Moosa, and Schalk Bezuidenhout, as well as the American Daredevil Chicken act. Alan Committee is the hilarious Master of Ceremonies.
